Wow I had no idea my post would generate interest.  I think I assumed there already was a forum for this. I just felt I needed a place to go to identify with others who are going through the same support issues.  Like I said I have never been in this situation before and part of me wants to run from this person and the other part wants to help.

I think a forum for families and loved ones of addicts is a good idea........Our families get the brunt of our addiction.        sara

In response to your post I looked aagain and found nothing that matches your question. Therefore I went ahead and set up a forum entitled Support for Family Members and Friends of Addicts.

Please feel free to post to this forum. I will also post to it.

Thanks for your excellent suggestion.

Good question. I am in the same position. I have not found an area designated for this purpose yet. I help others on this site by responding to their posts. This would be a good forum to start up.

I too a helping others in my life with addiction issues. Feel free to send me a message with your sitaution if you would like. If you decide to do this I will try to help you. Perhaps we are experiencing similar things in our respective efforts to help our feinds who are addicted.
