Sorry that nobody has responded, it happens to me too and I am sure everyone has had it happen on at least one of their posts..sometimes people just like to read everything but they dont realize that the author of the post is really hoping for a few responses..I am really happy for you that you have been able to get through the physical wds..i am trying myself right now to battle the physical wds from oxys and boy is it harsh..i try and tell myself that i deserve the pain and that it is just the toxins paying me back for everything i did to my body..to answer your question, i have read everywhere how it is very easy to trade one addiction for another while quitting, especially cold turkey. From the sounds of your post it does not seem like you will be continuing to drink which is excellent, but while going thru wds sometimes another drug or alcohol can really ease the anxiety or tension and thats why people do it..stay strong and stay away from the alcohol, especially since you admitted to having a problem earlier on in life..you are doing great and i will be praying for you.
