To all of you who gave me support thru my horrible weekend and week...I did find that the reason I felt like Sh** all weekend was because of the tooth infection I had in my mouth. She pulled 3 teeth and she was a monster about it.  I have been thru alot of pain and suffering in my life (root canals, teeth pulled, childbirth, withdrawals, etc.,) never have I been thru what I went thru Tuesday night with getting the 3 teeth pulled. She was a monster. And I was told the reason I felt lke I had the flu was due to the infection I had.  I gotta tell you, I have had everything done in my mouth............root canals, teeth pulled, crowns fitted, etc. This was the  most horrible experience I ever had.  All she did was give me a little novacane (sp) and then proceeded to yank  3 teeth.. I writhed, screamed, cried, etc. She just kept ripping, crunching,, breaking, twisting,...............omg............how horrible that was. Now I am left with no teeth on the top right side of my mouth. Granted , they  maybe needed to come out but to do that to me with no more than an few squirts of novacane,.............I  prefer childbirth over what she put me thru. This was the most traumatic experience of my entire life.  Am I a wuss or what?????

ugh i can relate! Ive had some horrid dental experiences too. one of the last times i went, i had to have a tooth pulled also. and the novacaine wouldnt work!!! at ALL!!! it only made my tongue and cheek numb but wouldnt do a thing for the tooth. I also had a complication- dry socket which is horribly painful- had to have the infection in the socket debrided with no aneshtetic!!!!!! it wouldnt numb it so i had to grin and bear it while he used a metal hoook to yank shitt out of my socket! i about puked and passed out it was so bad.

Are you sure that was a dentist? OMG that is horrible. Your poor baby! I am so sorry you had to go through that! Glad to hear from you though!

OMG you poor thing !  Sorry but your dentist is a quack.  The reason they put you on antibiotics is because it is very dificult to get you numb when there is infection. Every dentist knows this. It's no wonder people are terrified by dentist's.  There was no reason for her to put you through that.  Hope you are feeling better soon.  Hugs,  Mary

You are not crazy, but that dentist is!! That is horrible! I am dumb-founded that someone would actually do that! I am sorry that you had to go through that.

Exactly, I do not understand why she did not put me on antibiotcs first and then offer me some "laghing gas" or something. I will not go back to her. As I said, i have had alot of work done in my mouth over my life,  but never have I had such horrible , painful experience as that. Thanks for the input. Was hoping I wasn't crazy...............I am hjaving a strong need to torture her in some way..............LOL

NO!! You are NOT a wuss!! When hubby had 3 teeth pulled a couple months ago, it was so bad too. I was in the room but they gave him shots to totally numb him and the dentist said to raise his hand if he felt ANY discomfort and the would numb it again!! I would be angry with your Dentist! That was totally uncalled for!!!!
