thinking about getting off Ambien

Im in such a routine now after 7 years of every single day taking ambien with a allergy pill to fall asleep.  Not one day have I ever been able to fall asleep on my own, not even for 5 minutes.  Lots going on in my head with strange dreams when I wake up.  My room has to be sound proof and no late entries to the room,
I cant seem to fall asleep for many hours after bedtime and even the heat turning on wakes me while wearing ear plugs

Ambien is very hard to come off of in regards to it messing up your sleep patterns for a long time! Eventually it will get better but you just have to be patient.

Why are you wanting to fix what is not broken?  If the Ambien is working for you and you are not abusing it I don't understand the need to stop it.
