this has to be it

well I'm on day 10 off roxy and oxy. To be honest things really seem to be getting better, especially the last couple of days. Physical Withdrawl has been gone for about 5 days but now I feel it's time to go through the mental withdrawl. It seems I get to to this point and tell myself it can be done and go right back to it. I really think it's time for an na meeting which I'm going to google in my area. I really want to thank everyone for your support through this hell. I just hope every day will be better than the last butt I just don't know that yet.

Congrats on your freedom! Your instincts are right. Aftercare is essential in staying clean. NA meetings as well as a therapist can help you stay free from the pills. Anyone with clean time on here will tell you that aftercare is the key.

It took me 3 yrs and 2 bad relapses to truly believe it. (I tend to learn the hard way) get some aftercare lined up and you'll do great. Although I'm still tapering with sub, having gotten aftecare in place and a plan to come off with a lot of support, I feel like I have a solid plan. In the past of just yoyo and white knuckle it til I caved. This time I think when I go off I'll fare much better. Get aftercare and you'll do fine!

Day 10 seemed to be a major turning point for me also. Do try an NA meeting. These are volatile days since relapsing is so tempting. Each day may not be better than the last, you will have some ups and downs, but each one is certainly better than being a slave to the pills. As the days flow by, you will see that truthfully, the downs will dimish in size and as a whole, each day WAS better than the last. I was a huge roxy fan too and can tell you that being free is way better than any day I was stoned. Congratulations on 10 days and keep it up, you won't regret it.
