good job. keep fighting and dont give in one bit, no matter what happens. things are going to start getting better now.
you have also done a good job contributing and helping people here.
Hey..congrats and it does get better but here's some inside info...it was almost 3 months before I started some semblance of normal sleep. Keep going...after what you've been through, you are doing great.
One tip - Read the PAWS info; I can't emphasize this enough. Understanding what you're experiencing now and what you will be going through is very important at this stage.

Wife is going to store today on way home from work. I will have her get me some. As for the church, my pastor is a recovering alcholic so i am sure things will be fine. Most everyone who lives out here has had one problem or another. Our town consist of 3 bars, a 7/11, a feed store and a post office. Not much else to do for fun but drink or drugs.
Mjones, you are doing fantastic. Just remember dont taper to quickly. My last taper I went 2 weeks before stopping altogether. Also dont forget to spread out the dosage, its important to the taper. My doc gave me lyrica for the rls and for sleep. It seemed to work pretty well. Still had some rls but was able to get some sleep. Would sleep for a couple hours and get up and walk a bit and sleep the rest of the nite.
Congrats on Day 8 - well done! do find the time to go to those meetings.. seems the more we work it the better our results.. Being an addict is something we can never forget (learning: hardway)... Kudos!
I forgot the main point of my post - - - I did find that the amino L-Tyrosine helped me in the energy department........
Dude.....I had apprehensions similar to yours - - I was the Director of Building and Grounds for large Methodist Church in City ..........................There couldnt have been a more compassionate and understanding group of people to be found anywhere as far as I am concerned. They were absolutely wonderful and contributed greatly to my recovery without being awkward at all!!! best of luck to you........
Congrats on 8 days! Im down to 2 1/2 pills a day now. Started that yesterday. RLS and Im kinda tired but thats ok. Hopefully in a few weeks I can start counting my clean days!!!! I dont know where my will power is coming from, I think alot is coming from this forum.
Congrats on day 8, Im on day one no energy and my body is starting to feel achy...I have went for a walk and i keep finding small things to do. Im FORCING myself but it does make it better. Have you tried the lytosine?, im thinking of using it myself but not till around day 4 or 5. If you or anyone has experience with it let me know. I have been following your thread and it helps to know day 8 can be done. Also are you still thinking about it alot My brain is yelling Vicodin over and over in my head....thats when i make myself get busy.. Good luck to you.....Im sending an energy boost your way:) Nessa
