Went through hydrocodone withdrawal and didn't realize I thought it was the flu until it hit me.... I didn't think I would go through them science I only took 4-5 a day.... my mom suggested we take moethafome to sta away from withdrawls so I've been taking methadone 15mg's a day for two weeks.... will this take away my withdrawls or make them stronger idk how to stop Im with my mom all the time and if she has them obviously I'm gunna take them so.... Im on my 2nd detox and failed.im only on 45 of Meth. If the devil were to do drugs this is the one he would take. The withdrawl is horrible, no sleep stomach ache , legs,  so i am on maitenance now. in 2 weeks i will go down 1mg every week insteadof 5 every 9 days.We will see what happens. My only drug of choice was perc 10 and vics, and thats only because of an accident, i didnt do it for fun. I never did heroin,coke.pot. ANYTHING.just perc 10s. (about 15 a day). So if you can get off the METHADONE or stay on a very low dose. The MORE you take The harde it is to get OFF!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK ALL.

Google methadone...u will soon find out it is perhaps the hardest drug to detox from (worse than heroin for many) be careful. Taking the bandaid off quickly is often better than taking it off over years

I relate to this, my mother started giving me hydrocodone when I was 16 to help with my moods. She also was on methadone. She said it was the worst withdrawal she had ever gone through, and she was taking tramadol to ease the pain which didn't help at all. I wouldn't recommend getting on methadone, it's much easier if you just start taking less and less each day and try to get off of them. I am now 25 and still have problems with pills, I don't take opiates often anymore but it's very hard. You will have some withdarawal from them but not as bad as methadone.

HI First off you cant beat withdrawals so sooner or later your going to have to come off something having came off hydros and methadone your miles ahead coming off the hydros
its no fun coming off ether is no fun but hands down the methadone will make the hydro a walk in the park it takes a long time to come off the done it can be months till you feel right again with the hydros a few weeks to a month and your back on your feet it has a lot to do with serum life and methadone has a long 1/2 life compared to hydro short acting opiates are much ezer to come off of hope this helps if you do get strung out on the methadone I can help you with that also but try really hard not to let that happen god luck and God bless.......Gnarly

Be careful!!!!  I too tried to "fix" a hydro addiction with methadone....methadone is said to be the hardest opiate to kick...if you truly are wanting to be free of it all stay away from the methadone...your usage isnt that much..if you are just trying to beat the withdrawl aspect just know that coming off the methadone is going to be so much harder than the hydro if taken long term....what ever you decide to do please do some research look over old posts and get a doctor involved

Are you getting the methadone from a doctor?  This is a very powerful opiate that comes with alot of problems.  Is your mom taking it too?
