i need help

i have been on methadone for almost eight years. i got on it when i went i was pregnant. i have had three out of my four children on the methadone. all of them were born full term and none of them needed to be medicated when they were born. My problem is this methadone i have a stomach bug and i haven't kept down two days of my doses i went to the e.r. but they just have me iv meds  and meds for nasuea which was a big help but now i'm ging through withdrals as well i'm not sure what to do my family doesn't even know about the clinic so i can't ask them for advice can anyone help me i also take other meds i feel shaky  and my mind is all over the place am i going to be ok

Hi Missy welcome to the forum...well your in a real jam it sound like you have the flu already and now your faced with methadone withdrawal on top of that...this could be a tuff one...do you think by tomorrow you will be able to dose again??...theirs not much else you can do at this point but suffer thew the withdrawals till your next dose..I would tell you try supplements but if you cant hold anything down it is pointless ...at this point all we can do is damage control...try to keep yourself hydrated drink plenty of fluids ...you can try hot baths they seam to help me when I  detoxed off methadone it helps with a lot of the symptoms...your living out on of the fears I had will I was on methadone ..I was luck I never cought the flu for the 6 1/2 yrs I was on it...what is your dose now?? and I will tell you this you can get off it ...I did and it is so so worth it not to be chained to the liquid handcuff any more...keep posting for support we will all try and help you make it threw...good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

I don't understand if you are asking how to get off of the Methadone or just how to feel better during the stomach bug? If you could share a bit more information then the folks here can help you.
