No...you've got that backwards...I want to thank YOU for your bravery and loyalty to US!
First, stay away from those movies!! They trigger ME!!! And I've never been to war!! I
still can't watch "Saving Private Ryan"...who would?? So damn sad...
No,I don't think 8 pills will put you back into the same type of withdrawal but you may feel blah for a few days. As Sara said, get to what caused you to use...You know what it is and there is treatment for that. Have you talked with anyone? A therapist? Another soldier to commiserate with? Talking helps a lot...how about family? Do they know?
Tell us of any plans you're thinking of...we'll help and support you...you came to a good place...
xo
thank you for taking your time to read and reply, i first started taking these pills in 2007.. i was in the army for 10 years.. i was awarded the bronze star and 2 purple hearts.. in 07 i took a bullet in my back, thank God my vest stoped 90% of the bullet but it still penetrated my lower back, so i have had these pills with refills for a very long time..Last night i saw black hawk down and it triggered my ptsd, i took the pills for the pain and the pills kept me from thinking of all the horrible things my duty called upon, i was deployed 4 times 3 to iraq and 1 afghanistan... but i wanna thank you all again and i greatly appreciate it..
I wouldnt worry so much about the wd's, i would look more at what caused me to do this and what am i willing to do to make sure it doesnt happen again. Check into some aftercare.......sara
I don't think you will suffer major WD but you are messing with the addict in your brain. Your brain just will want more. Please go to a Na program!!
You may or may not experience withdrawals. They probably will be less than what you first went through. Use this time as a learning curve. You messed up, showing that you need help. Aftercare is so important. Try joining NA or AA. Get some support to help you get on with a clean life style.
You can do this.
