Thanks for the info, I,m definetly going to talk to my MD. I feel so out of wack from these pills, weight gain depression and much more. It was very easy to get hooked on these meds.
You should talk with your Dr. about the Xanax, and or tapering off that... Xanax is something you do not mess around with, on your own... It is a very dangerous drug.
Your Vic dependance isn't that high, compared to some of us, your still gonna have discomfort, but definatly tolerable... Your making a great decision! GOD Bless you!
Im taking .25 3 of them. Basicly to help me relax after work ,calm down and helps me to sleep real good with the ambien. But you say there good for withdrawls? what amount would you suggest. Thanks for your replyll61
Thank you for your post, I start today. There's no time like the present. I woke up this morning and read your comment, feel like there,s hope. Thanks again lee61
Funny I was just going to do a Xanax post. It is your best friend when going through withdrawal, but not too much! When you say you take 3, how many mg? if you take 3 1 mg that is way too much, and you don't want to go into seizures getting off of that, and besides that, you want that xanax there when you are withdrawaling believe me, so I would cut down on that xanax too.
it would be great to talk to a doctor too.
Good luck and God bless,
Lily
You're not at a very high dose, but definitely taken them long enough to be physically addicted. I wish I had a quick fix for this, don't we all, but I haven't seen one yet. Taper. Buy a pill cutter at the local drug store. Many people I know at low dosages like yours have decreased by a half a pill until it is tolerable. They continue do that until they are down to as small amount as possible and stop. Click on the Thomas Recipe and the Amino Acid Protocol at the bottom of this page and shop for some nutrients to help your body start making the chemicals that the opiates have been replacing. Talk to a doctor and see if this might work for you. You are not going to feel 100% through this process, but I've never heard of an easy out. Good luck. If you continue, my opinion is, it will only get worse and more difficult to stop. Hope this helps in some way and good luck.
