why? false positive test

hi everybody. thanx for being here. question...i just saw my doc yesterday. and, had a positive urine test for cocaine. i havnt done coke for many years.i cant figure it out. the only thing i can think of is that i had taken "taurine" suppliment. can that be the culprit?  the rest of my sups are just the basic vitamines. anybody know anything about taurine? thanx.

no. havnt smoked pot in years. but, thanx for the idea. im still trying to finger it out. i think it had to do with taurine. i was using the amino acid protocal for w/d. but, decided to just go to the suboxone doc. thats where i had the dirty U.A

have you smoked marijuana lately? maybe it was laced with it and you didnt know it? I had that happen to me many many years ago. I was furious that the person didnt tell me ahead of time. I felt like my heart was going to explode from the coke that was in it.

anyhow, just tossing an idea out there for you..

Cocaine cannot possibly show up in a ut if you haven't taken it in years. Ask your doctor for another test.

Taurine should not effect the test that way--it is an amino acid.
