Well, the pain is real, whether it's manufactured by the Fentanyl or not, but if you can just see this through, you may get a real reduction in your pain. There are many people here that have pain and manage it better off the painkillers. Try to find other ways to help it, heat, ice, Lidoderm patches or whatever may work for you. I never had the mental part of addiction but they had me on so much I was worried about what if I needed a serious surgery how could they ever cover my pain. You can do it. Try to make sure you're getting good nutrition and stay hydrated. Lots of tips on here. Find what works best for you.

Keep your taper realistic. You're on so much it could very difficult if you cut too fast. Fentanyl is not easy to come off. I don't think any withdrawals are pleasant but some drugs are much more difficult than others. Glad to hear you're taking this step. I have found my pain to actually be much better off the Fentanyl.
Okay good - whew! You'll get there... just hang on a little longer. And great that you got rid of what you had. That's a good start.
