withdrawal differences

Was just curious. Do withdrawal symptoms differ depending on what type of opiates ones using? I meen I'm taking perc. 30's will my withdrawals be different from let's say if I was gonna withdrawal from morphine? Or is a withdrawal a withdrawal? I hope that makes sense! I'm just trying to figure out what I'm in for. I've went through withdrawals from large amounts of vicodin E/S, and ofcourse that was miserable.. Recently I've been doing alot of the perc.30's and as always I've let it get outta control. So I'm going to go ahead and get my withdrawals going so I can begin to end this pill madness. Any info will be helpful ty. And for everyone out there going through this, KEEP YOUR HEADS UP AND HANG IN THERE!!! much love

The only difference between oxycodone and oxycontin is one is a time release and the other is not.
Oxycontin is sopose to last 12 hours.
Oxycodone is soposed to be taken every 4-6 hours.
There are many myths between these 2 drugs.
Just google "Difference beteeen Oxycodone and Oxycontin " and a heap of stuff comes up. : )

30mg "perc" is not really percocet (percs are oxycodone/APAP, i.e., oxycodone/tylenol) - what you're taking is Roxicet (nickname is Roxys) which is more like oxycontin (OC).

All opiate w/d is the same but someone taking 5mg percs will not withdrawal as severely as someone taking 120mg oxyontin (because some opiates are stronger than others)

Stronger opiate and/or larger doses and more frequent dosing will cause the user to experience more severe withdrawal

(I was an IV Heroin user for over 5 years - now almost 2 years clean)

wds are def wds no matter how u look at it , althoutgh every pill Is a little different ill say that...vikes seem 2 hurt my belly more than the 30's you speak of but the 30s seem 2 mess with my head a lil more but coming off opanas was not very friendly same per the  oxys, which in turns of genetic makeup the oxys are the same as the roxys (30's) except one is ER and one is IR...... methadone IMHO was the most dreaded of them all....ive heard subs are pretty bad coming off of after a extended period of time but short term sub use can be very helpful again IMHO  the last time I came off of opiates it was from Heroin and as bad as of a wrap  that gets from most ppl it wasn't as bad as some of those pills were I don't think !!! just know its gotta get worse before it gets better no matter what your taking....like plenty of ppl say on here Fake it till u make it, which is easier said then done...going thru wds as many times as I have I will say if your mind starts 2 get crazy your wds will get crazy with it ....so if you can keep a positive thinking head going your wds should follow!!!  congrats on wanting 2 get clean

Hey there, your right, withdrawals is withdrawals no matter what you withdrawal from.
Some will experience more or less pain than others depending on the quality, if daily use, quantity, for how long one has been on for, etc, etc.
But its practically all the same, runny nose, watery eyes, lump in throat feeling, coughing, sneezing, body aches and pains, legs cramping or/and spasm's, nauseaus, vomiting, stomach cramps, hot and cold sweats, fever, sweating, creepy crawly feeling, itchiness, lethargic, no motivation/energy, tiredness, migraine, depression, anxiety.
Of coarse no everyone feels all these symptoms.
Some people have a couple of symptoms, some feel all of them very intensely, some have very slight w/d's.
Thats about the only difference, the intensity of w/d or having an easy ride.
Withdrawals are normally felt from 24 hours of last drug use, to 2-4 days after last use, or 3-5 days after. Most people feel the worst time around day 3 and can be uncomfortable for a week or even 2.
Some people dont feel w/d's till 1 week after stopping their drug of choice.
Good luck with your detox and remember the fear is always worse than the detox if you do it correctly, like taper for instance.
