I was on morphine and vicoden for over 10 years went c/t over the xmas holidays. You will feel better after a couple of weeks however the sleep comes back slowly. I was taking Ambien for sleep and that helped. When quiting the Ambien there were no side affects also. I sleep ok now just not as soundly as I would like. Good luck you can do this it just takes you fighting past the weak/sick times. Good luck.
You will feel as good as you used to feel in a few weeks or less. There are some meds (not suboxone), you could take like valium or clonidine that would help you greatly and most docs would prescribe these to help you through the first week. all the best

Yes, you will feel better off of the morphine. I'm on week 7 and yes I'm achy for some reason but for the last few weeks, I've felt great. I'm close to being my old self again and I love it. I promise you it does get better. Hang in there. Thre are vitamins and amino acids you can take to ease the wd a little. Or you can talk to your doctor about decreasing your dose so you can get off.
Did you try a slower taper?
