Thanks again for all the advice I will post my progress.
Thanks again for all the feedback.
it is hard to completely save urself from wds....the runs started on my end LOL as soon as i started tapering....it was my worst problem other than fatigue...so i am not sure u will be able to eliminate the tummy issues especially with IBS....u just have to try...it may end up better to just quit and get it over with as tapering can prolong things....start your plan and see how it goes...keep posting for advice as u go....might be best to hand over ur pills to these people who will help u....it is a bad sign if u can not let them go if u need to..if u can not stick to the taper..hand them over
I took sometimes 5 max 6 in a day and not during the day spread it out from around 5:00 pm to 2:00 am. I have support on my end but they felt i should do ct but then again its what I am comfortable with but I know they will help however they can and I feel resolute in my mind just trying to save myself some withdrawals because I already have ibs I deal with. :)
How much did u take each day to begin with? tapers work for some..very disciplined people...just dont beat urself up if u keep getting the urge to cheat..for some just flushing and going CT is easier...spreading small doses out over the day helps in a taper with no spikes in dose..give it a shot and if u find u cant stick to the taper, just go for it and quit
i will say that tapering is very hard for an addict...tried it time and again but never did. i had to CT. it was hell wont lie...i was snortin oxys...but i lived...its really up to you...if you can taper or if your hubby can give the pills according to the plan it will be easier...NOT EASY!!!!
Thanks it does help to hear suggestions from others especially those who have been there and I really appreciate every single comment. Thanks for all the positive feedback.
oh, i forgot to add...check into some aftercare...it is harder to stay clean than get there...i have been clean for 8 months and just started na meetings...you really have to work at being clean...it dont just happen....
I am wondering I have been reading more about CT I was thinking should I just go Ct and deal with the withdrawals or stick with my first original plan i posted earlier about tapering with the 30 I have?? I was thinking the tapering would be physically better but my hubbie is very supportive but somewhat disappointed I dont just do the ct and be done instead of tapering. any more suggestions
hi sissy, welcome to the forum...you have a good plan...work it. mimi is right about the health pages check those out. also start now exercising...JUST DO IT....it helps your body start to produce the endorphines you have been getting from the pills. i know you think yeah right...IT HELPS...i promise...keep posting like mimi said...she is a smart girl...lol...good luck!!!
I agree with melissa cutting them in half really really helped me. Instead of going down a whole pill I would start a few days sooner with a 1/2 less, if that makes any sense to u. The good thing too about 1/2 pills is u really dont miss the other half. Good luck to u.
Thanks for the encouragement I will check those out and also link my pill progress I like that idea , Thanks again.
Hi,
That should help. Try breaking them in half when you get to 2 or 3 pills a day and take the doses as far apart as possible. Try to post and tell us what day and how many pills you have taken. That makes you a little more accountable.
Also and do this now, look at the health pages at the top right corner of the page. Look at the amino acid protocol and Thomas recipe. There are things that will lessen withdrawal. You can do this!
good luck,
Melissa
