Go with a spirit that fears nothing~
(that's a jimi quote!)
Thats great news! Im very happy for you! Treatment is a luxury many addicts cant either afford or be accepted into. Your truly blesses...grab onto this and get all you can out of it. Looking forward to hearing about your experience!
I'm going for 30 days and I'm leaning more towards the one closer to home its a non profit and my T says nons are better than fors so we'll see
gosh i just can't wait to get there which ever one that i choose
oh my mind is soooo open i can't wait to go I'm very excited its is so needed a few people on here have been telling me since jump street i tell u i think its mh who made me realize what i had to do it was mh who told me i had to tell my hubby dont know if i woulda without it was medhelp who told me i needed inpt along with my therapist but it was mh who i was rolling with first thru all this since feb I've come a long way in knowing what i need to get well thanks for the support
I'm so proud that your getting to go...rehab is an awesome place to refined yourself. It's a great place to start healing your life as well as your husband and other family members. It's a scarey and emotion process that will be a positive experience in the long run. Take the time to rediscover who you are... It's more than physically safe there..you know, they will help you thru withdraws several different ways. Teach you about your disease and give you the tools and support you need cleaning up.....think of it as a gift. Go with a humble open mind and you just might suprisley enjoy it....
I would try to stay close to home. They have family days where hubby can come and learn with you. So both of you can understand and cope when you get home. And you visit after. If you are far away you can't do that. And getting away sounds great but then you have to come back to reality.
How long will you go for?
Oh Kelly - so happy to hear this! I pray that you find what you need...the tools as IBK said as well as the strength to work it and to do you, do what it takes to make this your last relapse honey. You have so much spirit and so much to offer.
Hugs and payers!
Couldnt of said it any better than IBK~
Either treatment center sounds good. Just remember...THEY are not going to get you to stop..YOU have to do the work. Take in as much as you can and get as many tools in your box as will fit. Best of luck!!!
That's great news Kelly! I remember when I arrived at rehab, I just crashed on the bed and cried with pain as well as joy, just knowing the jig was up, I was done, and I was in a safe place! I wish only the best for you. A couple of questions:
When are you going to be admitted
What care are you going to get before you go...maybe this place your therapist is suggesting will help in the interim...
