Can't do detox

I have been drinking beer nightly since 2000. I can now drink about 15 beers a night if I loose track of how much ive drank. I can't go to detox due toy job, but I need to stop. I feel like crap in the morning. But I'm what is known as a functional alcoholic, drink at night work during the day. But I need to stop, I get panicked if there's not a 30 pack of coors light in the house. I just don't know how I'm gonna do this. So afraid of going into dts. Help please, lend me some knowledge, encouragement, and strength. Btw I drink about a max of 15 beers a night but I'm only 5ft 2in and weigh 112lbs

Hey....I know you hear it all the time, but if you want it bad enough you can do it. Working this day & age is very important but so is your health. You have to be careful when withdrawling from alcohol. By going to detox you have a professional on staff at all times to monitor you and make sure your okay. Acually, alcohol is ore dangerous to detox from than most drugs. I'm from Canada and the times that I went to detox they used Valium to help with the symptoms and tapered it as the days went buy. I know with determination you can do this and you'll feel so much better getting up in the mornings. My suggestion is confide in your boss....9 times out of 10 they will be very understanding and respect you for doing something to help yourself. Detox is the way to go...good luck and I'll say a prayer for you......Peace

I agree with ibizan here.  Not only will you not have a job your body will soon start shutting down.  Drinking is only a symptom of what is going on with you.  Have you thought about getting some help with this?

there is no such word as cannot when it comes to addiction.....its will not...and if u don't get help...go to detox....u won't have a job!
