i would talk to your family MD about getting a CAT scan and a MRI.
By filling your stomach with alcohol, this caused your body to react by trying to process it out. Your brain is telling you enough and has sent signals to throw everything up until it senses the alcohol is completely out of your system. I cannot explain the dizziness for 5 - 6 days after, but you may have an intolerance to alcohol. You mention you drink socially. If you decide you do not want to give this up I suggest mixing a light cocktail. 1 part alcohol and 3 parts on a non-alcoholic mix and sip on that one all night. Keep bottles of water around you to drink over the time you are around the alcohol. This way you can have your one drink for the social aspect, but keeping your wits and waking up without a hang over.
I'm dizzy but I just had 5 beers. I went to sleep and woke up light headed. However, I don't have the feeling 5 days later. If I do, it's not the beer causing it.
I do have an inner ear infection, which causes me to feel dizzy at times.
Also panic can cause me to feel dizzy and the drinking beer does not help my panic attacks, like it used to. When I am drunk I feel fine, until the booze wears off.
Also, drinking gives me diarrea. Which I have right now.
I would say see a doctor. You might have an ear infection, or you might be having panic attacks. You could also have vertigo, which makes it seem like you are dizzy, or light headed. I have that to.
Well, it could be something else. I don't know for sure but your doctor would be able to help you.
Hey man I know what you're feeling because I have had the same symptoms as well. A big part of the light-headedness relates to your daily intake of nutrition. After a night of binge drinking, your body is struggling to draw in any available nutrient resource from your stomach to help you recover quickly. Somebody earlier mentioned the importance of eating more fruits and vegetables, which are not only loaded with vitamins and minerals, but are also soft enough to make your vomit less painful coming back up, if the situation occurs. You mentioned that you go for about a week or two following a binge, and that alone can have an effect on your body. To switch from going days without alcohol leading up to a massive intake within a few hours can really play a harmful trick on your insides, which is working super hard to process all that raw liquor. The weak, light-headed feeling means you are suffering from what I call "running on battery acid", in which your body has no nutrients to burn up, and basically your brain tells your body to give you the finger if you attempt any physical labor, so take into consideration the types of foods you consume on a daily routine. A tip for softening up hangovers: before passing out for the night, try to drink a 12-16oz glass of water....you'll feel loads better when you wake up, and have energy to get up and start your day. Take it easy!
I know exactly what you mean. I have the same thing and I've been sober for about 6 months now. Can't really explain it.
blood tests were good, MRI was negative. Shrug.
Entirely possible its not related to drinking but I wouldn't rule it out. Drinking can also make other problems worse or cause other things to flare up. You really should take it easy for a while and see if that doesnt help.
Hey man, I've been feeling the exact same way, same situations and everything. I was just wondering if the dizziness was still bothering you. I've been told that it was anxiety related so I try to shrug it off. Its just hard for me to believe, I'm 25 and have gotten drunk several times. This is the only time I have felt like this...........its been 6 days now.
