The forum is suggested for those seriously wanting to cease the drinking/drug habit that has caused them problems such as you post.Tink is pretty knowledgeable and has undergone a lot in her life!
I think You understand my passion. Thank You for the condolences.
i am sorry to hear of your losses, that is truly terrible.
You seem to be taking offense
I am not making this up
Everything I know has scientific research and I am well read on the topic.
My Mother's alcoholism killed Her. My Youngest Son killed HimSelf with a drug overdose. I know a LOT about drug and alcohol use/abuse. I made it my business to learn, to know, to understand all that I could about drug/alcohol use/abuse and the DAMAGE it wreaks on the user - and the heartbreak and heartache of everyone who loves the user.
You know a lot too - I quote You "many things ARE bad for You, Smoking IS bad for You, too much salt IS bad for You, too much sugar IS bad for You"
and
Yes, You SHOULD avoid drugs and alcohol and smoking and You should minimize the salt, sugar and coffee
many things are bad for you, smoking is bad for you. salt is bad for you, sugar is bad for you
and coffee is bad for you.
i guess i should avoid them all...
correction to my last sentence:
Both are damaging to Your Body and Your Brain - BOTH are bad for You
I am saying You should avoid un prescribed drugs and alcohol. Both are damaging to Your Body and Your Brain are bad for You
I did not mention coffee.
(You did not mention coffee either)
thanks for the info, so you're saying i have to avoid all drugs forever? im a morning coffee drinker, so thats bad too?
obviously my opioid receptors have been desensitized because of tramadol, i was told it takes time to recover
if receptors in Your brain are damaged it would behoove You to stay away from alcohol - as alcohol will damage receptors in Your brain as well (!!)
Alcohol is a drug, is a chemical
The addition of ANY chemical (even in small amounts) drastically alters brain function.
and,
it IS a tolerance issue as pertains to Your other drug use - other drugs will raise ones alcohol tolerance. Tolerance means that You can drink a larger quantity BUT don't think the ability to drink more means that it takes more to damage Your brain (and other organs) as the same amount of damage is going on in Your brain (and other organs) if You drink a little or if You drink a lot.
The very best thing You can do for YourSelf is to not drink at all
thanks for the reply, and i am used to the buzz, before i ever touched tramadol the effects of alcohol were very present. it seems tramadol has damaged receptors in my brain, i think its permanent
Maybe your just not use to the alcohol buzz on it's own, I'm a alcoholic and from time to time I take pain pills while drinking and it's a totally different buzz from just being drunk.and just fyi tramdol is a terrible pain pill, u take to many and you'll quit breathing, it's alot worse of ur body than say perks
