yes ur story is very important!if it wakes anyone up here who is doing this damn good!thanks for posting!
I don't mean to be an alarmist, but I am going to be. (and I am going to computer yell to get my point across too) MY BROTHER DIED MIXING BOOZE AND MEDICATIONS. HE WAS ONLY AGE 38!!!!!! Now, I don't want to blame the death of my brother for my alcoholism, (I was drinking around 8 to 10 beers a night, every night since July of 2008 until I went into Rehab in Jan. 2009)....I was well on my way there when he died and when he died, he and I had not spoken in 10 years, but up to his death, I was drinking 4 beers a day during the week and god knows how much on the weekends, (I was a binge drinker with my husband) anyhoooooo.....MY story ain't important here...mixing booze and drugs is like playing Russian Roullette...really. My brother simply went to bed and didn't wake up. End of story. END OF LIFE.
Maybe when he wakes up in the hospital next to all the other liver disease patients he'll get the idea. Better tell him to beef up his insurance because he's going to need it soon.
Was just going to ask u if his doctor knows about all this mixing.....it is dangerous!the Ativan mixed with alcohol can cause him to totally zonk out behind the wheel! As usual boogieman giving good advice...i support his comments!
Thanks I am going to have a talk with his Doctor who has prescribed all these
drugs. He thinks that he can not drive a car and will be sleepy but that it will not
harm him.
hi. i believe cymbalta, gabapentin and alprazolam carry an alcohol use warning. i know for a fact that mixing booze with alprazolam is dangerous as they are both sedatig drugs which when combined are very potent. is he having problems as a result of this? usually there are negative consequences that need to be apparent before one will consider trying to quit. has he ever been to treatment or aa? best wishes, gm
