I assure You, if We all learned what Our body goes through, the physiology of trying to eliminate the alcohol, the effect on Our central nervous system, etc., etc., I suspect that would be enough to convince many of Us that alcohol is a poison to Our bodies and that We would choose not to ingest it in the first place.
