Agreed, when I went through detox I was in the hospital because I had a seizure and was hallucinating. They said I was in bad shape but in the hospital I got better and it kept me from dying. Definitely seek advice from a doctor.

First you should know that quitting drinking suddenly can be dangerous if your body is addicted to alcohol.  It can even be life threatening.  If there is any chance that you are addicted to alcohol then you must seek professional help to safely detox.
