Interesting ! What would you like to hear , yes its the menopause so dont worry the drinking of 2 bottles of vodka is fine ..... blame it on yhe menopause shall we !!
Or the truth , ask yourself a question in the mirror is 2 litre bottles of vodka normal thats around 100 units a week , so is it not obvious your in denial over addiction to the substance named vodka , wait till u start losing sleep , getting shakes , possibly dt,s hope u dont go that far , truthfully u cannot just stop ( happy now that u got an excuse to carry on ) , right thats enough of me being hard yet factual with you ,
heres what to do - start tapering down do not go cold turkey , once you are down to one bottle switch to lagers or wine count the units and speak to doctor before tapering thats reduction so he can advise timelines how to taper if no detox available medically , once abstinent , wait 4 weeka for the fog to lift and see how you feel then we can assess the night swdats etc , you will feel better , use AA if needed and any other available help
wishing you all the best and plz let us know how you get on you can do it and get better we are rooting for you
thanks

your body was not meant to metabolize that amount of alcohol. You should quit. I quit in '99. with the help of rehab/aa/sponsorship and a "program". You can too!!! Yeah you,
I realized after many years of drinking that alcohol was becoming toxic to me, so I quit drinking. I didn't have any real problems quitting. I mostly drank because I would get bored in the early evening and drinking made me feel happy. That was okay until it started biting me back.
I also had some blood work done and it was little high in blood sugar and my blood pressure wasn't good. Instead of booze, I will drink a cup of coffee. Now I'm having some trouble getting to bed early but when I wake up, I feel like my body has been cleaned from toxins.
Hi Che,
I started menopause at 41, so this could be the onset of that. You drink at night and still have night sweats so not drinking during the day and still sweating sounds like (IMOO) this may be hormonal changes caused by .....TAH DAH!!!!! Hot flashes.
That said , you must have concerns about your excessive alcohol intake since that is the first reason you went to for this cause. If your drinking was not excessive I doubt anyone would ask if that was the cause of this.
Were you completely honest with your doctor about your alcohol intake?
As Tink has said damage to the Liver will only show up when it is too late to reverse. Do not wait for that, stop drinking today . Work with an addiction counselor if need be
Good luck and keep us posted. We are here to support you !

As always well put Tink!Happy peeks of Spring!
You are sweating because with each and every drink, Your liver is trying to metabolize the alcohol. It would behoove You to realize You are over taxing Your liver (whether there is PRESENT damage or not) Tolerance to alcohol is progressive (and so are the dangers), as evidenced by Your own usage over the past 10 years.
AND Your body does not recognize the difference between wine and vodka - it just 'knows' alcohol and reacts - 12oz of beer, 5oz of wine, 1.5oz of 80 proof liquor ALL contain the same amount of ethanol
Don't feel overly secure because You have no liver damage (as of yet), and realize alcohol is harmful to Your entire central nervous system. BIG problem is one often doesn't not realize the damage being done until the damage is done
GoodLuck
can u comfortably go without the vodka? or do you crave it? does anything out of the ordinary happen when you drink, do you get inebriated?
my thought would be cut the alcohol out for a month and compare how you feel, and see if you still suffer from sweating as much, and bring it up to your doctor about your sweating he may have insight.
