Hello. You've been given good advice here. Your high tolerance and family history are MAJOR warning signs. The shakes will become more than just a matter of willpower, and in addition, you will become subject to seizures, cardiac arrest, and hallucinations that are worse than any nightmare. And that's just where withdrawal will progress to. The blood can indicate stomach damage or even a nasty condition called esophogeal varicies, in which blood vessels in the throat rupture and you quickly bleed to death. This could easily be fatal, even if it happened in a shock/trauma unit. Then there are things like cancer, irreversible brain damage that will render you incapable of recalling any short or long term memory, liver damage and catastrophic organ failure-which is especially slow and excruciatingly so painful that morphine won't touch it. This is what you can look forward to if you continue to drink. Please take this seriously, there are people here and in your area that would be glad to help you before its too late. Take care, GM

The last refuge of an alcoholic is to say "I'm not as bad as those other people". Why is it happening to you? Because you drink too much. Period.  Sorry to be blunt, but there is no sugar coating this.

Can you cut down? If you really have stomach problems, you need to stop and you should also see a doctor immediately.  I don't know your level of alcohol addiction, but some withdrawal symptoms can be severe if you've been drinking a lot, so please be careful.  Consult with a doctor, and stop drinking - your body should gradually heal with abstinence from alcohol, and judging from your family history, you're headed for trouble anyway.

There is a better life ahead of you......I never thought that I could top either and I could not imagine a live without those daily drinks. But there are a lot of nice things to experience without the alcohol.  Please see a doctor!
