I don't want to live like this anymore.  I don't want to quit drinking.  I don't want to live like this anymore though.  I won't be able to stop this insanity if I do keep drinking.  I'm a smart person, but so terribly stupid for continuing to drink.  I wish I was different.  I fantasize about being a controlled drinker.  This just *****!

Runner, you have been struggling with this for some time now. What lesa told you is true, you will be so happy, content and in control of yourself and emotions when you quit.

The things you say above, were what so many of us felt before we quit. I know I did. I promise that you will see things in a totally  different manner.
I too wish for you this peace and happiness.

yes Runner it does suck and it will continue too until you surrender... I'm Helpless in my disease.. This saying is so true.. I have never been happier then when I choose to quit drinking. My life fell into place. I wish this for you.. lesa
