i know someone that has drank way too much for years...she is now 25...her period is about 45 days...has been for the last 6 months or more...is this likely because of alcohol consumption?...thanks...billy

She needs to be seen by a gynecologist.  Alcohol abuse can play he!! on a female's body.  It messes with our cycles and when we are drinking we dont usually pay attention to what our body is trying to tell us.  I hope she will take a look at her behavior and get to the doctor.

i would venture to guess that their is a hormonal imbalance here...the alcohol doesn't help...but most likely caused by a overabundance or lack of female hormones...she needs to see a gynecologist about this!
