Anal problem

Good afternoon

Just to follow up on my last simptoms anal internal itching that is mild but still ongoing.I had proctology exam with the same instrument that are performing colonoscopy so doctor could see all the way 12 cm inside the rectum.
The diagnosis was proctalgia fugax and he told me that my skin inside is looking very good and healthy...
The itch is every day depends maybe more intense in the evening or early morining but not so bothersome ..for shure is not ringworms because that is rules out.
Since my previos diagnosis of anal warts I am worried that migh be AIN or something similar warts I dont have any more for shure.

Could be AIN seen on this examination that my doctor did or could be easy missed?
Can I have another test that are more specific for detection of AIN?
Your suggestions?

thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

Anal intraepithelial neoplasia or AIN is more common in people with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Other recognised risk factors include smoking and immunosuppression. It does present with itching. Any changes in the skin can be detected by a direct examination or proctoscopy. If there is a doubt then biopsies are taken. So, if at present there are no warts or any other changes in the skin, you can wait and watch.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
