Im on Paxil for two months now for anxiety and im on the 40mg. strength and i still feel somewhat anxious should i have the mgs. changed?

I was on paxil for almost two years it worked well for me except I lost my sex drive and gained 30 pounds.  Now if thats okay with you stay on it.  I just switched to zoloft I am praying I can lose some of this weight.  Good Luck paxil works good but the side effects didnt work for me.

I can't make that call for you.........only you and your doctor/therapist can decide if this particular med is working for you or not. Some of us have had to try several different meds before we found the one that did the "trick" for us. You need to get with your caregivers and discuss this. IMHO, after two months, you should have begun to feel some relief, so it's very possible that either you need a stronger dosage or a completely different med. Don't give up! I know it can get frustrating, but the right med IS out there for you. I wish you luck and let us know how you're doing, OK?
