Yes, most definitely these meds can lose their effectiveness over time. Usually, a dosage increase will remedy that, but you are taking a pretty high dose already.
Discuss this with your doctor. He/she may recommend trying a totally different med, or adding another medication on top of the Zoloft. It's always best if you can have a psychiatrist managing these kinds of meds.
Good luck, keep us updated!
You take the maximum dose Saldav? Yes, I do think it's quit working for you. There are many other meds to try. So, as I recommended before, see your Dr to talk about trying another one.
How long have you been on Zoloft, and how many MG's do you take?
I take Zoloft too and I find that it isn't doing anything for me anymore also
Antidepressants can stop working. This is what's possibly going on with you. I would recommend seeing your Dr to tell him/her how you're feeling and maybe talk about trying another med.
you said you been taking it for 5 years, ya in the first 5 years it worked fine for me too, but like I said i've been on it for almost 12 years and I take the max dose which is 200mg. I will ask my Dr.
Thanks for your reply.
