I have friends wo smoke they are fat and have unhealthy diet....they still enjoy their life and i am here who has every thing perfect still thinking about thing.... :-(
Anxiety is the worst thing...
Thank you.....
I'll try to stop thinking about it
...
:-)
I've been thinking a lot about my answer to you today. You are young, and it was not my intention to scare you. I believe treatment of anxiety requires a certain "tough love" approach, because no reassurance will last for long. It just feels that way. "If you only told me my heart is fine I could stop worrying". Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long.
Everything you do during daily life involves a certain amount of risk. Some people get shot while walking in the streets, some people are victims of accidents, some people catch a lethal infection, and so on. Still, we say it's safe to walk outside or drive a car (unless you are drunk, of course) because the risk is so small. The same goes for your heart. Your cardiologist (who knows more about hearts than anyone else) has told you that your heart is fine. That means the risk of getting a cardiac arrest or a heart attack at age 20 is so small that you safely can ignore it, and let it be a "theoretical risk" comparable to randomly getting shot on your way to work.
But as you fear heart disease, you would like the risk to be 0,0000%. That, I'm afraid, is impossible.
Take care :-)
Okay....so you mean to say no one can be 100% sure...??
I should stop driving myself crazy...?
I visited 3 most experienced and best cardiologist in the city and they said my heart is normal and adviced me to visit a physiatrist Lol......!!
but i am wasting a lot of time and energy fearing about it....!!
but my mind....it forces me....on every small ache and pain...to think about heart...a little jaw pain is a heart attack for me.... :-(
but I'll have to find a way out of it....
I have NEVER heard about a healthy heart stopping for no reason. My point was, you need to stop searching for 100% certainty. Because nothing in life is 100% certain.
During my time on Medhelp, I've answered 3000 questions about the heart and heart rhythm. I also have a fear of cardiac arrest. But trust me when I say, you don't get better by doing advanced tests. You can always say "yes, but what if..?" After I had visited a cardiologist for the 6th time, I started to realize just that.
You made me more sacred....
so what are the chances for a healthy person to suffer it??
What If he dose every thing heart healthy?
And in person of less age ie.20
can this happen in anyone at anytime ?
no body in my family had it!....
You need to accept that you, like everyone else, suddenly can die. You focus on the heart, and I would assume that you notice every normal minor change, like slight chest discomfort, PACs/PVCs, etc. Why focus on the heart? Every organ can suddenly shut down.
The chance is, of course, slim to none. But it exists, in everyone. It's a good thing that you don't want to die. But by seeking an absolute guarantee, you are seeking something impossible. Even if you had every cardiac test available, you could still not be 100% certain.
The heart controls itself. There is nothing you can do about it. The only thing you "gain" from trying is more palpitations and more awareness of normal phenomena. You can't stop a cardiac arrest by monitoring your pulse.
I'm sorry, I know the answer is a bit rough. But accepting your own mortality is the only cure.
