Will flip a coin in the air as to whether xanax is better than valium. Xanax kicks in fast. Last for a few hours. Then you need another one. Yes, it is dosed out three times a day. But it is one form of medication that loses tolerance over time. That is to say that it won't always work for you on the original dose you were started out on. It is only meant as a short term sollution. If we are to be honest about it. Valium I also found to be a hard tablet. You feel it kicking in. But you feel the come down as well. To me it would depend on how bad you anxiety was. If it was 24/7 anxiety I would more inclined to go for klonopin. Dosed out twice a day. To cover the whole day. As it can be used for a lot longer. Talking years wise. I know they are all the same come the end of the day. Once on them for a long period of time we can't just stop taken them. But just another opinion. I would also agree with the theraphy suggestion. Big time. No point in just taken medication and leaving it at that. But the one thing we will all agree on is that you should never ever buy them on the streets. How do you know they are real? They do make fake tablets of all sorts. Feck knows what you might be putting into your body. So knock that one on the head. Just have a sit down with your doctor. Nice chat. And see what he suggests you should try. We can all name different forms of medication. But at the end of the day he is your doctor. Not us. We won't be giving you anything at all. It is your doctor who will be.
Um... yeah... don't buy it off the street.
Have you tried therapy? Cognitive behavioural therapy?
See different doctors if you absolutely cannot manage without benzos.
Discus xanax or an alternative to Valium. They work just as well. I took Valium for years and when Xanax came out my doc swithced me. Valium stays in your system longer and is not as safe as xanax See:

Buying medication off the street IS NOT SAFE. It could have just about anything in it and you may be making yourself worse taking it.
Take alternatives with your doctor and get good treatment. Let him help you and if he doesn't then find one that will.
hang in there and don't give up!
