Can having a stroke decrease your sex drive?

My boyfriend is only 35 and he had a stroke recently. We think it's because he was a heavy smoker, so he's just quit smoking and drinking cold turkey. Since then, he has not been sexual at all, this is not like him at all. He is tired a lot which is understandable, but i am wondering if any of these things could have caused him to lose his sex drive? People say their sex drive is increased after quitting smoking, so could it be the stroke? Will it get better?

It may be his withdrawal from smoking and alcohol, or it could be from the stroke.  Only his neurosurgeon can tell him if the stroke affected this area of his brain.  If it's a result of his withdrawal it will get better.  But to stop alcohol and cigarettes both at the same is very difficult and I'm sure he's dealing with a lot right now.  Give him some time and then see how things are.  Take care...
