Dealing with Clomipramine(anfranil) side effects.
I've been taking clomipramine for 5 months now. I've tried about 13 medications for depression/anxiety/panic disorder, and it's the only one that has helped. It has stopped my suicidal thoughts. I am actually happy now and can enjoy life. I have many irritating side effects though, such as urinary retention, bad breath, and I sweat a lot more than I used to. For the urinary retention I take Xatral which helps some of the time, but it's still, it's often difficult to pee. My breath is rancid, always, and when I sweat, it stinks and I can't stand the smell. I know that I can't go off this medication, so if anyone has solutions to these side effects please let me know. I would be very greatful.

My brother has the same problem with the same medication. There is nothing to help you besides more aggresive hygiene and colognes with mouth freshners/gums.
