Have you ever been checked out for IBS? Irritable bowl syndrome is usually caused by anxiety.  It is not as un-normal as you probably think, a lot of people suffer from this.    I would recommend seeing a gastro and then also a therapist.   I take something called a Probiotic everyday and it is for your stomach and what it essentially does, is calm your stomach muscles, which will make you have to go less. You can get the probiotic vitamins at most health food stores.  So you would take the probiotic plus lexapro and see if that helps. If it does not, then you might not be on the right medication.
Also, do you have a high metabolism?  I was on lexapro for a little while and I noticed that I was having to go to the bathroom more, I also have IBS and a high metabolism, so that probably did not help everything.  Make sure your DR knows all of your symptoms.
