The zoloft really messed with me...my hands felt like they were burning, I felt emotionally numb, and it made me super paranoid...like I had a panic attack over a cell phone ringing. It was horrible. I could have stayed on it longer I guess, to see if that went away, but I just couldn't handle it.
Hello! I'm just curious...I have been on zoloft for about 5 years and I was curious of what side effects you have had because I get really bad headahes often and I wondered if it could be the zoloft.
Thanks so much for responding! I was also on welbutrin a few years ago to stop smoking, and had negative effects as well. It's not so much that I think needing meds makes me weak, it's more to do with my anxiety...I'm terrified of them! I've had no luck with them, and I'm sooo paranoid about crazy side effects.
I had the same thing happen with the zolof and I had to stop taking the medication. At first after coming off I thought I was fine and decided that I did not need medication, BIG mistake!! I started having anxiety not only during the day but at night so if I was lucky and did fall asleep I would wake up in a attack. I started counseling and that has helped alot, but I also ended up back at the doctor and she put me on flouxetine 20 mg, I must say the first 2 wks I felt very down, but my body stopped acheing and the chest tightness went away and the constant fear and worry have gone away, it has now been 24 days since I started the medicine and I feel like I am back to my old self again. I have a 2 year old and I knew I needed to do something. So my reccomendation is Church, Therapy and Medication, you are not a week person if you need medication, your mind just gets to a point where you can't even get the positive part to function, and the medicine helps you do that. Good Luck and God Bless You, if you need anything feel free to let me know.
