show long have you been taking Zoloft? And how long have you been taking Xanax? How often do you take Xanax? Sorry for so many questions.
Hi,
I am on zoloft 100 along with nuerontin(mood stabilizer) and
abilify for my depression and anxiety and it is working really
well for 6 years now. Unfortunately it takes a combo of meds
for me to feel better but it works so I do it.
My pdoc gave me Xanax which I believe is in the same family'
as Ativan for extreme anxiety and it works wonderfully. I only
take it on an as-needed basis but it has been a lifesaver for me.
Your walking should be a big help bec it helps burn off some
anixety. I try to work out 5-6 times a week and it helps me
a lot. I hope you can continue with that even as it gets colder.
Something that helps me too is to talk it out with someone about
how Im feeling. My spouse is very supportive and he lets me
vent if need be which helps me.
I hope you continue to improve,
best wishes,

thanks for commenting on my post. Another question that I have is, can Zoloft be addicting? I have tried to go off it 3 times and had to go right back. The last time I tried to go off I slowly cut my 50mg dose in half for awhile then slowly skipped a dose here and there. My phyciatrist said I was having withdrawals(anixety, loss of appetite, insomnia, etc). It was horrible. I just wish I didn't need to take any meds, but it just doesn't work that way. Thanks for any input!
Sounds like your doing really well for yourself. Sounds like your doing awesome. I took zoloft and it wasn't the medication for me , but you have to remember every one is different, Just like lotion or face wash, or makeup, or opinions, Everyone is different in a lot of ways, we all respond differently to these things. Your taking a benzo "ativan" which I've heard works great. I take a benzodiazepine mine is Klonopin. And it helps me most of the time. Those kinds of medications can sometimes be addicting, but we all need to do what we need to do to stay healthy and on track. And if the dr said take it 3 x a day as needed then that's what you do. You sound very smart and the only thing i can add in to your recovery is maybe to journal your progress, your good days, your bad days, find out what your triggers are, what makes you feel better. Then if you ever go through it again you know. <3 manda.
Well so far so good your on the right path to recovery. Stick to the plan, I too take zoloft and it has helped before and it's helping me now. The only thing I can include for u is to keep learning about anxiety symptoms and keep us posted the more u learn the better you'll be able to manage your anxiety.
