2 steps foward 3 steps back....

So latlety I was feeling great, I went and seen awsome psyc doctor who upped my does of my celaxa from 20mg to 40 mg,,, ANd the last day or so i have felt just blah....Someytimes i feel like i;m gonig brain dead, other times i just cry, i see all kinds of light flashes in my eyes then i worry it could be blood peasure problems... though i have never had them before....ANyways i was also predcibed xanxa 0,5 3x a day. I have debated weither to take it, though i have someone that i care about very very very much that does not want me taken it...I just don;t know what to do, I don't know if woud help or if would make things worse..I don';t know if its the celaxa making me sad and if it will take a whie for my body to get use to it.. i just don't know....

So ...your doc prescribes medication ...and... you're asking US if you should actually take it as prescribed?

I understand -TOTALLY GET IT- that you would be nervous about taking more drugs. Who would not be? One thing for sure, you will never be an addict.

That said, MMomma, if you have any reason to doubt what the "awesome psych" doc told you -you really need to chat with another doc for a second PROFESSIONAL opinion.

And feeling good is what its all about!

I would wait to take the Xanax. I have a Rx for ativan and was hesitan to take it. I waited until I absoulutely had a panic attack in which i felt I could not deal with. I took half the prescribed dose, and it knocked me on my ***. However, I liked how calm I was, hadn't felt that way in years. I liked it so much it scared me. I finally saw how people could get addicted to these types of drugs. Anyway I keep it for "emergencies" but lately I have been taking a vitamin B complex and along with upping my dosage of prozac this past week and it seems to help. The Vitamin B seems to take the edge off without knocking you on your butt and it's non habit forming.
