Hi, I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you.
You can do deep breathing exercises when you feel a panic attack coming on. I also found yoga helpful, as well as listening to a hypnosis cd for anxiety. The other thing you can do is buy mind over mood. It is a workbook that most doctors recommend. I would even check if there are support groups (usually free) in your surounding area.
Totally agree with above post. You can try natural remedies too. Usually pretty cheap.
