Just to be clear, hunger is one of the triggers. Other triggers can be exercise and stress. I have no asthma or lung/heart disease.
Thank you. I don't think it is because of that or it would have showed up sometime during the 10+ years I have been having the symptoms. Initially my fasting glucose would be 70 and since this syndrome is making me gain weight over the years due to exercising problems caused by hyperventilation -I have a fasting level of around 90.Also I believe I have excess of insulin and trying to lower it by eating less processed carbs.
Anyways, I'll do the A1C but how does it relate to insulin?
Thanks again for the direction.
If the alternative mechanism to control glucose works, you can still have a normal blood sugar reading.
Usually this syndrome is associated with fruity smelling urine.
Yeah...........what he said.
The so-called "hyperventilation" suggests the presence of what are called Kusmal respirations, which are a result of the body attempting to blow off carbon dioxide to return the level to normal. With people having insulin utilization problems this is often due to a low level of insulin, which forces the body to utilize an alternative mechanism to use the glucose.
When you visit your physician ask to have what is called an hba1c test.
