Has anyone tried...??????

I been reading a lot up on things and saw THE LINDEN METHOD helped many people.  I'm not sure if it really works before I purchase it or what?  I would like to know more details on it!  I will do anything right now...
I don't know what to do with myself anymore!  I am ok for a while then all of a sudden boom there goes a panic attack!  I am on celexa and klonopin which has helped me a lot.  My doctor told me to take 2 mg's a day of klonopin and I am now on 20mgs of celexa I was once on 40.  I only take half a klonopin every morning I want to try and take myself off of it.  My primary care doctor tells me otherwise than the psychiatrist he rather me try not taking klonopin, because it can be so addicting.  I can't take this anymore I need to take control over this.  I cry all the time because I let it take over and I shouldn't!  I am 26 years old and want to be normal again and medication free!  :*(

Actually, I find it easier to just accept and "float through" (as Dr. Claire Weekes would say) the symptoms, as opposed to ignoring them.  In fact, when I just let them happen, I tend to feel better afterward.  Perhaps you can give this a try :)

Thankyou so much for the help.  I appreciate it!  It is very hard to ignore these symptoms...i don't know I guess I have to try harder.

I agree with the above post.  I did not find it useful..It is just "ignore" the symptoms and try to meditate.

Hello,

Sorry to hear that you are suffering, but just know that you are not alone.  I bought the Linden Method a few months ago, and although I think it may be helpful to some people, I did not find it very useful.  Basically, the concept is "ignore the anxiety and it will go away".  And, for some people, I think that can work, but for those with a more serious problem, that concept is not so easy.  Also, because I actually have my degree in mental health counseling (even though I'm an anxiety sufferer), I'm a picky consumer  when it comes to products like this.  I like things that are well researched and backed by hard evidence.  The Linden Method is very anecdotal, and the book contains numerous typos.  Plus, based on my own knowledge, I can't vouch for the validity of some of the things the author recommends.

I know how you feel right now, and how you would be willing to try anything to feel relief.  It is with this same despair that I purchased the Linden Method myself.  However, I cannot honestly recommend this product to you.  That's not to say it would not work for you, but I would not put my seal of approval on it.  Also, the price is just way too much.  $177 for cds and a book is ridiculous, and I have seriously considered trying to get my money back.

The biggest things that have helped me so far in my anxiety struggle are sharing on this forum, therapy, medication, and some great books (which dont cost an arm and leg).  Good ones are the "anxiety & phobia workbook" and "hope & help for your nerves"

Please send me a private message if you want to know more about the Linden Method.  I can even share the "9 Pillars" with you for free :)

also I get my panic attacks when I am around a lot of people in an open space usually!  Such as a store etc...I feel like I just have to run away like a crazy person and I feel better.
