How Do I Deal With This?

Hi, I really dont know how to deal with this but I have to get a Colopscopy in a few hours today because I had an abnormal pap that could lead up to cancer if not treated. Im a nervous wreck its making me sick and Im an emotional rollercoaster today. Im worried about the pain from the test and what they will do next. Im not sure if I will need surgery to removed the abnormal cells or just keep continuing getting checked out every 6 months hoping it will go away on its own. Im trying to relax but its not helping. Im sure after today I will feel better for now anyway. Does anyone know how to cope with nervousness/anxiety? I get like this in any stressful situation its hard to deal with because I get so sick from it.

Yes, I have a colopscopy before. They're not bad at all. You're so right about waiting on the test results though. That's the hardest part.
I'm so glad to hear you went through this so well. Will you please keep me up to date on your results?
I can apologize enough for the mistake I made. These are two very different procedures.

Hi, I had the Colopscopy done. It actally wasnt as bad as I thought and it wasnt painful to me thankfully. It just moreless felt weird and slightly uncomfortable I go in next Friday to find out if I need surgery or just to get rechecked in 6 months. I think you may be thinking I was talking about a Colonscopy their spelt almost the same but their 2 totally different procedures. I know about Colonscopys as well never had one but I know people who did. They all say the worse part is the stuff you have to drink to clean you out but your asleep thru the rest of the procedure so you dont know anything or can feel anything. If your test comes back good you wont have to have another one for 10 years and it only takes about 10 minutes to 30 at the most so it shouldnt be to bad. I get nervous over anything really. I just dont know how to deal with it when I get that way. Im just glad its over now and I can relax for now.

I have'nt had this test yet but my Dr is recommending it because I'm over 50. If I have to have it done I have no fears at all because I know many people that have had this test. You will get good meds so you should feel nothing at all. Your age is very much so in your favor so your test should come back just fine. Please let us know how everything goes and try your best not to worry.
