Kloponin in the UK

Hi Folks,

Just a quickie about Kloponin. After reading some of the posts on here it sounds like it is a good drug for extreme anxiety rather than taking diazapam or Ativan. My question is, is this drug only prescibed in the US? I myself had never heard of it here in the UK. Does anybody know if it perhaps has another name here in the UK or do we just not use the drug?
I currently take Diazapam or Ativan for extreme attacks but it would be nice to have something to take on a regular basis that does the same thing but without the same addictive qualities and to perhaps stop me from getting myself into a state in the first place?

Does anyone know about this???
Cheers

Namaste,

Klonopin is a good medication, but don't fool yourself about its' addictive qualities. It can be as addictive as any of the benzos, and in some cases, even more so.

If you take it for a long period and stop taking it "cold turkey", you will suffer from withdrawal symptoms.

Just a word of caution.

It is prescribed in the UK.  I believe that it is known under many names such as Acepran, Alerion, Antelepsin, Ciclox, Clonagin, Clonapam, Clonax, Cloner, Clonex, etc....There are a lot more brand names, but the generic form is known as clonezepam. In my opinion, it is a good benzo for long term use.
