Medication interactions?

I currently take Amiodarone 200mg a day, Metoprolol 100mg a day, Prilosec OTC 40mg a day. I have occasional Atrial Fibrillation. I was put on the Metoprolol in 2004 (my dosage is much lower now) and the Amiodarone in July 2008. I suffer greatly from panic attacks and extreme anxiety. My doctor prescribed Zoloft for me at 25mg a day for two weeks, then 50mg a day thereafter. He knows all the meds I currently take, of course. I've been reading online that Zoloft and Metoprolol can interact together in a dangerous way. I am sure my doctor knew this, so I am wondering why I was given this combination? Does anybody know about this interaction? Is it only dangerous if I were taking much higher dosages? I have to wait a month between each doctor appointment due to my terrible insurance, so I can't get an answer quickly. Any informed information would be great appreciated, as this anxiety has caused me to become home bound and to lose my job. Thank you.

Well here's exactly what it says on the Zoloft label -

Zoloft may not mix well with all other medications, either prescription or over the counter. Some medications should not be mixed at all, and with others your doctor may want to adjust your dose to decrease the risk of side effects. Consult with your doctor if you are already taking, or intend to take, any of the following:

You could bypass your doctor and consult your local chemist if you are worried about the interactions. I think that would be exactly what I would do. Chemists can be very helpful. But you would have to be experiencing some bad side effects? Or tell a little white lie and say you are and see what the chemist says.
