Mirtazapine (Remeron) and alcohol

Hello.

I was taking 30mg of mirtazapine at bedtime. Then, on friday I took only 15mg. On saturday I did a lot of sports and running and didn't take any Mirtazapine. On sunday, I took four beers and haven't taken any Mirtazapine since then. On monday I was having headaches and was harder to think.

Do you think this is because of the alcohol or just because of withdrawal symptons?

Thank you.

I decided not to take drugs anymore. It's my choice. I was stopping already so I decided to take some beers since was  my company's end of year party.

Just wanted to know your opinion about the time I've wated to do so.

Thanks.

You need to take this medication exactly as prescribed.  Playing around with the dosage and not taking it everyday will cause you a lot of issues.  Adding alcohol to the mix isn't good either, it states on the bottle to not drink alcohol with it.  You need to start taking it as prescribed and you should start to feel better quickly.
