How awful for you. It wont help right this minute but actually all of these can be fix, one fit at a time and one at a time. Have you read or listened to the CD of Claire Weekes? She would like a nice mother and makes you feel so normal. She explains things that are obvious but we just don't use them. Jelly legs, arms, hands. If you ignore others, wont actually damage you. Panic attacks work better with Xanax. 1/2 a one will resolve the problem to start with. Depression, if it is still there can then be dealt with, along with your doc. Some work well and effectively, some are more difficult for others. Don't worry about withdrawal. If you don't get on with a tab, stop them. One 1/4 a week if you have to, and there are others to replace it. Do a bit more research. Exercise, even walking is said to help and a place like MIND, who are set up for anyone in difficulty and need support. Crying is not always a bad thing. Make a diary of some kind, however simple to give you an idea the little ups and down we do actually have. Good luck.
Did you taper off the drug or quit abruptly? Quitting abruptly gives you a greater chance of getting a bad withdrawal. And I assume you mean you've been put on Effexor, which is a very stimulating antidepressant not usually given to people who's primary problem is anxiety. Do you have a psychiatrist, or a regular doc? If the latter, you need a psychiatrist. In the meantime, you might want to discuss with your doctor your withdrawal problem and the possibility you quit the drug too quickly, and you might also want to think about successfully withdrawing from the drug before trying another one that will have start-up side effects of its own you want to be able to distinguish from the withdrawal problems you're having.
