I'm really sorry to hear this.  It must worry you terribly.  I agree with Paxiled!  Honestly, he needs to be evaluated for other things to determine why he is having the seizures or if it is medication related as Paxiled said.  Very important.  I understand the insurance issue----  can he get cobra from his former work place?  Can he get insurance for his new work place?  Buy it from his state's exchange?  But this is serious and he needs to be evaluated as soon as possible.  good luck

I have to respectfully disagree with the notion that anxiety does not cause seizures.
My late mom experienced what they call psychogenic seizures, which caused symptoms like convulsions,
shaking, difficulty breathing, temporary loss of consciousness, palpitations, sweating...
She had been suffering from depression and anxiety for a number of years and could not take any medication for those as she could not tolerate the side-effects from anything she was prescribed.
She could tell when such an episode would take place, since it would  within seconds of having an anxiety attack.
It was very traumatic to watch her go through this.
However, it got much better after I got her to consume coconut oil- about 4-5 T daily and follow a low carb diet.
Cheers,
Niko
That doesn't sound at all like the anxiety attacks were causing her seizures.  I don't know what was, but it was probably the same thing causing her anxiety and depression and exacerbating her reactions to medication.  There is nothing in an anxiety attack itself that I've ever heard can cause a seizure, but the meds used to treat them can.  I feel for what she and you and your family went through, but let's not frighten people to death here.
Of course there are undertemined underlying factors and not everyone with anxiety has the same presentation.
I suspect the electrical misfiring in the brain diminished after her high coconut oil consumption, a more efficient fuel supply compared to glucose.
Cheers,
Niko

I don't think anxiety causes seizures.  Are you sure about this?  Is he on any medications?  For example, benzodiazapenes?  Because if he's using them and stopping them abruptly it can cause seizures.  Have the doctors told you anxiety is causing his seizures?
