I'm glad to hear your son is alright. That must have been so scary for you. Has the Dr said what kind of bug the both of you have?
Really, having having anxiety right now at a time like this is very common. Keep using your tool kit. We're here to listen and help in anyway we can.
Thank you all for the kinds words. It really does help to hear. Things got a little worse, yesterday my son came down with the same thing. In turn we had too rush him to the hospital, because he pasted out on me...literally. He is ok, but sad to report my anxiety is up and the what if thoughts swirling. Trying to relax and use my "tool kit" that I have developed. I am happy to can add this to it, as another source.

The thing that is common with anxiety is that we never really know that will trigger an attack....An illness, a disappointment, a fear, a glance across someone elses face, a memory of the past, a fear of the future can all be triggers.
In Therapy we put together Tool Kits that we could dig into
when anxiety reared its head, and our Tool Kits were built on a foundation of Therapy Itself, daily meditations, journaling, phone numbers of
people we could call, and postitive affirmations. The tool kits were used daily, with or without symptoms, and I still use mine today.
I do hope you feel better soon

I'm so sorry you're feeling bad also. I too was feeling great and then I had an attack of bursitis. I had no idea this would trigger an anxiety attack. My advice to you is stay calm and treat the bug (virus) as best you can. Get proper rest and drink plenty of fluids.
I'm sorry you're feeling bad. I hope you feel better soon. Yes, anxiety can get worse when we're sick. I think once you're over this bug you're going to feel much better as far as your anxiety. Keep us up to date on how you're feeling.
