MS obssesion

I'm 23 years old female. I Developed a Lhermitte sign (when I turn my neck I get buzz in the arch of my foot). I'm so scared that it might be MS. I went to neurologist that ordered and MRI(but I won't be getting it till July). I had a whiplash injury 2 mounths ago.
I'm so anxious about possibility of having ms. I convinced myself that I do. Now everyday I get new "buzzing spot" on my body(my hip, my finger). The whole body is aching. The only thing that's on my mind is MS. Waking up every morning, I feel so hopeless. I don't know whether my anxiety kicking in or it's a reality. Please hepl me . It' s killing me. I cannot function normaly anymore

One of my fears was MS because of some numbness tingling  and muscle weakness senstivity to light etc. That started my whole episode for 2 yrs now. I had to beg my doc to get a MRI which was normal, then a spinal  tap which was normal so then i began to looks for other things....If i went to the MS forum i would then think i had it again....so i know there is something wrong with my immune system but i should have stuck to my main symptoms instead of freaking out now no doctor will listen. My latest is i have a rash on my breasts and they have been hurting for 2 yrs and my back to so now i think i have a rare form of pagets breast disease, which this time is understandable to think that, but who knows maybe i should have just stuck to my chest and breathing and stomach troubles..maybe then i would have answers. I say all this cuz you need not worry sometimes our brains play tricks on us.

While any of us on this forum can help you with your symptoms of anxiety, I think for right now you would get more help by going over to our excellent MS Forum and talking with the folks there. They are far more aware of the symptoms of MS than we are and I think you find a great deal of reassurance from them. And they also understand anxiety that comes with the fear of MS.
This is just a guess on my part, but if your whiplash injury came BEFORE you began to experience the Lhemitte symptom, my money is on the whiplash injury as your culprit. Did you ever have an X-ray taken of your neck? That would show a whiplash injury and you could probably get one of those before your MRI in July. Just a thought. You can talk to the MS folks about that, too.
If, after talking to these good folks, you are still freaking out, see one of your doctors to discuss your anxiety and then come back to us, OK?
It's very easy to let anxiety overtake us.
Peace
