I was on the meds Lexapro and Welbutrin for about 4 years. It took me 1 yr to wean off both and I still swear I am not normal (i.e. sideffects) after being completely off for about 6 months. I have gone to therapy and it has helped. To be honest, I am not sure the meds helped me after the 1st year or so. If you consider meds, I would definitely go to a Psychiatrist (MD) not a general practitioner. They work with people with similar problems on a daily basis. My GP got me on meds and I eventually dumped him for the Psychiatrist and eventually got of the meds with her help.

Glad I could shed some light on your subject matter.
If you have been struggling with this unkind feeling since January, I would recommend CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) in combination with a prescribed medication by same doctor. There is no reason to endure your he11ish feeling/s any longer when there is medication to help ease, or better yet, totally alleviate, those unwanted feelings.
Please keep me posted regarding your lab results (as a former phlebotomist, I cannot resist).
Take care and prevail.
Thank you both
Brenndy...when I copied and pasted that link it comes up as chaste tree....
but i did google it and im going to hold off on taking it. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon, unfortunately with the same doctor...because I had blood work done and want to know the results and then im never going to her again. I really wanted to make an appointment to see a different doctor but by the time I got home from work it was too late.. so im definately doing that tomorrow since I get off early. What are your thoughts on therapy?Just wondering...Im considering..and im wondering if meds alone would really help me in the long run.
Thanks for being there.
I am so sorry that you are having such a rough night.
G, from all your posts, which I have read, I would highly recommend seeking the help of a bonafide physician and not a witch doctor type who wants to sell you ignatia amara. I've provided a link regarding this homeopathy which you might want to read before investing in that. When someone dispenses these so-called medications and has no one to answer to, as does the mighty FDA, it can get very crazy very quick (no pun intended).
Best of luck. Hope you feel better.

I have been there too with anxiety. Yesterday was a pretty bad day for me. Today was much better. I rely on God and attending church to pull me through the tough times and attacks from the enemy.
Try meditating (mindfulness), breathing techniques, progressive relaxation techniques, and research. There are many good resources you can search on Amazon.com.
These have helped me get through 4 yrs of ups and downs. I am now medication free and intend to stay that way.
You just have to keep telling yourself that tomorrow is another day. Focus on your blessings and not on the negatives.
Hang in there. You can do it!
