Numbness while drinking

Sometimes while drinking the entire right OR left side of my body will go completely numb.  It's as if I have no control over that side of my body.  While trying to control it my body starts to "tick".  It usually lasts 5 minutes but during that time I cannot walk due to lack of control.  I can usually feel it coming on and there is nothing I can do.  It seems like it happens more and more often whereas when it first started (about 2 years ago) it would only happen occasionally.  Now I can pretty much expect it to happen about once a week.  It's completely bizarre and embarrasing because once again it isn't something I can control.  What is going on??

I'm sorry to say that I have no idea what is going on, but my advice is for you to get to your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and tell THEM what is going on and HAS been going on for two years!
I really would NOT put this off.
Please let us know what you find out.
Wishing you the very best
Peace
